Vent

Kinda stuck not gona lie

I\'ve been kinda going through life on autopilot since my friend passed, was kinda the starting domino that leads to a load of B.S His passing clearly hit everyone hard, but hit me the hardest as i was the only person in our community that actually met the man,and when i couldnt stay strong for the group and was labled a lost cause, they bounced, and from there with no outlet the depression and isolation just dialed all the way to 11. Relationships never panned out to anything more than me being used for a month or so till they found a better deal, friends would come and go and family was never there. its been a few years in this \"limbo\" and to be honest i find myself just filling in the hours with everything i can think of to fill this ever present void in me. IDK,i just wanted to vent a bit, doing it on a forum seems better than the void(does feel better to get it off my chest though)

I’m really sorry. Losing your friend was already a huge thing to carry, and then being abandoned when you couldn’t keep being “the strong one” sounds like another loss on top of it. You weren’t a lost cause—you were grieving and needed support too. Living on autopilot and filling every hour can keep you functioning, but it doesn’t necessarily give the grief anywhere to go. After a few years, it makes sense that you feel stuck rather than simply “over it.” Grief doesn’t follow a schedule, especially when it gets tangled up with isolation, unstable relationships, and feeling like nobody stays. It might help to stop expecting yourself to fix the whole void at once. A more realistic first step could be telling one safe person exactly what you wrote here, looking for a grief-support group, or speaking with a counselor who understands bereavement and depression. Even rebuilding one steady routine—getting outside, eating properly, exercising, volunteering, or regularly being around the same people—can begin to make life feel less shapeless. It won’t replace your friend, but it can give you something solid to stand on. And for what it’s worth, posting this wasn’t “shouting into the void.” Someone heard you. You deserve relationships where you aren’t expected to perform strength, provide something, or remain useful just to keep people around. Please take it seriously if the emptiness starts turning into thoughts of hurting yourself or not wanting to be here. Reach out immediately to someone nearby, a crisis service, or emergency support rather than sitting alone with it. You don’t have to prove how bad it is before you’re allowed to ask for help.
